A pharmacy is seeking a skilled Per Diem Pharmacist to support their Specialty Pharmacy-Retail operations beginning April 1. This role focuses on filling specialized packaging for nursing home patients, ensuring accurate and safe medication dispensing.
Schedule:
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Per diem availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Provide patient counseling to ensure proper medication use and adherence
- Utilize the Pioneer RX program system effectively in daily tasks
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to coordinate medication packaging and delivery
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois State Pharmacist License is required
- Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare providers
