Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Fort Dodge, Iowa

Provide professional outpatient pharmacy support as a Staff Pharmacist on a per diem basis. This role focuses on low-volume prescription verification and patient counseling within an outpatient setting. Ideal candidates hold an Iowa Pharmacist License and have prior retail or outpatient pharmacy experience.

Location:

• Fort Dodge, IA

Schedule:

• June 12th: 8 AM – 5 PM
• June 18th-19th: 8 AM – 5 PM (no technician support)
• July 17th: 1 PM – 5 PM
• July 31st: 8 AM – 5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and accurately dispense approximately 40 prescriptions per day in a low-volume outpatient environment
• Provide thorough and compassionate patient counseling to ensure medication understanding and compliance
• Perform all standard outpatient pharmacy duties including medication preparation, documentation, and communication with healthcare providers

Qualifications:

• Current Iowa Pharmacist License required
• Relevant experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, especially during shifts without technician support
