Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Fort Lauderdale, Florida

A healthcare facility in South Florida is seeking two inpatient pharmacists with pediatric expertise for a 13-week contract. This position offers the opportunity to work at a busy hospital where pediatric and NICU experience is highly valued, providing essential pharmacy services in an inpatient setting.

Location:

• Fort Lauderdale, FL area (Hollywood, FL, situated between Miami and Fort Lauderdale)

Shift Options:

• Day shift: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, rotating weekends (five 8-hour shifts weekly)
• Overnight shift: 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM, rotating weekends (five 8-hour shifts weekly)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and active Florida pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong background in inpatient pharmacy practice
• Pediatric and NICU experience is highly preferred; candidate resumes should clearly reflect these competencies
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacist duties, including verification and dispensing of medications
• Provide precise pediatric dosing and monitoring to ensure safety and efficacy
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
