Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Fort Wayne, IN

A healthcare facility in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a qualified per diem Staff Pharmacist to provide full-time coverage for one week. This opportunity offers typical retail pharmacy duties supported by a pharmacy technician and utilizes the New Leaf system. Training will be provided prior to the start date to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

Schedule:

• Monday, March 30: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday, March 31: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 1: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday, April 2: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday, April 3: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, and proper adherence
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy management system to process prescriptions and maintain records
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety requirements, maintaining compliance with state pharmacy laws

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana Pharmacist License in hand
• Experience in retail pharmacy practice preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy pharmacy management systems, ideally New Leaf
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with support staff
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills

Additional Information:

• Client provides paid training prior to March 30
• Preference for local candidates; however, travel candidates are considered
• Travel reimbursement includes meal allowance and mileage over 30 miles; hotel accommodations booked if travel exceeds 75 miles
