Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Fort Wayne, IN

Provide essential pharmacy services for Meridian Health Services’ Fort Wayne, IN location with a per diem opportunity offering flexible daytime shifts. This role involves typical retail pharmacy responsibilities, supported by a pharmacy technician, allowing you to focus on patient care and medication management within a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

• Monday, March 30: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday, March 31: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday, April 1: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday, April 2: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday, April 3: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
• Verify prescription orders and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana pharmacist license in-hand
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems, familiarity with New Leaf is advantageous
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts
