Retail Staff Pharmacist in Fresno, CA

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage at a retail pharmacy site. This role is ideal for a pharmacy professional looking to apply their expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment. The assignment begins in the last week of August and is expected to last 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

Location:

• Fresno, CA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper medication use
• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve issues related to prescriptions
• Manage inventory and ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked and organized
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries professionally

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with valid state licensure
• Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of prescription medications and pharmacy practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
