Staff Pharmacist - Gardena, California

A travel night pharmacy technician opportunity is available for an experienced professional to support a healthcare facility in Gardena, CA. This role involves a unique 5 on/5 off schedule with 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a balanced work-life rhythm.

Schedule / Hours:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 5 consecutive days on, followed by 5 days off

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets and manage medication inventory
• Prepare IVs, IV piggybacks (IVPBs), and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs) with attention to safety and protocol
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally
• Deliver medications to nursing units in a timely manner
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system with proficiency

Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy technician experience in inpatient settings is required
• Competency in preparing IVs and filling Pyxis cabinets
• Familiarity with automated dispensing systems and inpatient pharmacy operations
• Trained in using Allscripts/Paragon or similar order entry systems preferred
