A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to provide dedicated coverage during their current Pharmacist-in-Charge’s medical leave. This role is essential in maintaining seamless pharmacy operations that deliver high-quality care to an underserved community in Charlotte, NC. The position involves working within a 340B pharmacy setting that emphasizes patient-centered services.

Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (No weekends)
Type: Contract, approximately 4-6 weeks with potential for adjustment based on need
System Used: PioneerRx Pharmacy Software

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations in a one Pharmacist/one Technician environment
  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to underserved patients in an FQHC setting
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including 340B program requirements
  • Collaborate closely with clinic staff to support patient medication needs and counseling
  • Maintain accurate records and handle inventory management efficiently

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacist license (required)
  • 1 to 3 years of pharmacist experience, preferably within an FQHC or community health setting
  • Proven comfort working with an underserved patient population
  • Ability to work independently in a small team setting
  • Spanish language skills are preferred to enhance communication with patients (Pharmacy Technician on site speaks Spanish)

This opportunity also offers flexibility for per diem engagement for both Pharmacists and Technicians, providing additional scheduling options within the clinic.
