Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Gastonia, North Carolina

A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide coverage for call-offs, PTO, and vacation periods. This role involves approximately two shifts per month, primarily supporting the pharmacy operations within a community health clinic setting.

Location:

• Charlotte, NC

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekends
• Estimated 2 shifts per month

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in accordance with established protocols.
• Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care, focusing on the needs of underserved populations.
• Operate independently in a setting staffed by one pharmacist and one technician.
• Utilize the PioneerRx pharmacy system effectively.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Pharmacist license (required).
• 1-3 years of pharmacist experience.
• Familiarity with FQHC or similar community health settings (preferred).
• Experience working with underserved patient populations (preferred).
• Comfortable managing workflow in a one-pharmacist/one-technician environment.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus, enhancing communication in this patient community.
