Staff Pharmacist in Geneva, NE

This opportunity seeks a retail Staff Pharmacist to support pharmaceutical services in alignment with healthcare facility goals. In this role, you will ensure the accurate preparation, dispensing, and management of medications while collaborating closely with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient therapeutic outcomes. Reporting to the Retail Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy, this full-time position follows a day shift schedule and offers a contract employment type.

Responsibilities include advising physicians on drug therapy, overseeing non-pharmacist personnel involved with medication, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, conducting medication use reviews, and providing patient education on prescribed medications. You will also participate in preparing drug use guidelines, managing inventory securely, responding to medication-related inquiries, and mentoring healthcare professionals in training. Contributions to budgets and drug expenditures, consultations with long-term care facilities, and involvement in facility committees are also essential components of the role.

Qualifications & Desired Experience: • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school and current state pharmacy license • Successful passage of the required licensure examination as per NABP standards • PharmD preferred • Minimum of three years retail pharmacy experience preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
