Retail Staff Pharmacist | Gilbert, Arizona

A specialty pharmacy is seeking two experienced pharmacists to join a highly specialized team focused on managing rare and orphan drugs for patients with complex medical needs. This contract role offers an opportunity to apply advanced pharmacy expertise in a setting dedicated to specialized patient care and support.

Location:

• Gilbert, AZ

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage rare and orphan drug therapies with precision and care
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to navigate drug approvals, insurance authorizations, and financial assistance programs including grants and rebates
• Provide high-touch clinical support and communication tailored to specialty pharmacy patients’ unique needs
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols related to specialty medication dispensing

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum experience in a designated specialty pharmacy setting; retail pharmacy experience alone does not meet requirements
• Proven ability to assist patients and providers in managing complex specialty drug therapies
• Strong clinical knowledge of rare disease medications and their administration
• Excellent communication skills for effective provider-patient coordination
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in dispensing high-cost, high-risk medications

Additional Information:

• Contract is approximately 13 weeks with the potential for direct hire
• Start date: Immediate availability is preferred
