Retail Staff Pharmacist in Gilbert, AZ

A specialty pharmacy focused on rare and orphan drugs is seeking two experienced pharmacists to manage complex medication therapies for patients with rare diseases. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting patients and healthcare providers throughout the treatment process.

Location: Gilbert, AZ
Type: Contract (13 weeks) with possibility of direct hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage specialty medications with precision and care
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to ensure proper drug use and adherence
• Navigate complex approval processes, including insurance authorizations and access programs
• Assist patients in securing financial support, including grants, rebates, and payment assistance programs
• Provide high-touch clinical communication to ensure patient understanding and comfort

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working in a designated specialty pharmacy is required
• Extensive knowledge of rare and orphan drugs, including handling of high-cost medications
• Strong clinical skills combined with excellent communication and patient management abilities
• Proven ability to coordinate between patients, providers, and payers to facilitate drug access
• Pharmacy licensure and any relevant certifications as required
