Retail Staff Pharmacist in Gilbert, AZ

A specialty pharmacy focused on rare and orphan drugs is seeking two experienced Specialty Pharmacists for a contract opportunity in Gilbert, AZ. This role involves working closely with patients and healthcare providers to manage access to expensive, life-saving medications for rare diseases.

Location: Gilbert, AZ
Contract Duration: Approximately 13 weeks, with potential for direct hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense specialty medications used to treat rare diseases with precision and care
• Provide expert guidance to patients and providers on drug approval processes
• Assist with navigating insurance authorizations, payment assistance programs, grants, and rebates
• Maintain high-touch communication and clinical support to ensure positive patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure treatment plans are successfully implemented

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Previous experience working in a designated specialty pharmacy (Retail pharmacists without specialty pharmacy experience will not be considered)
• Proven knowledge of handling rare/orphan drugs and complex medication therapies
• Strong clinical skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and providers
• Familiarity with insurance processes, patient assistance programs, and medication reimbursement procedures
