Staff Pharmacist - Glen Burnie, MD

A leading specialty pharmacy focused on behavioral medications seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a full-time position on the day shift in Baltimore, MD. This role offers a 4-week contract with an opportunity to work either full-time or split shifts with another pharmacist.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Provide patient counseling with a focus on behavioral medications
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow
• Collaborate with pharmacy support staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Maryland State Pharmacist license with no negative history
• Previous experience in retail or specialty pharmacy environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of prescription verification and patient counseling
• Ability to manage and lead a team of pharmacy technicians effectively

Additional Details:

• Daily prescription volume ranges from 100 to 200
• Pharmacy uses the PioneerRX program system
• Support includes five pharmacy technicians and one SP staff member
