Retail Staff Pharmacist | Glendale, Arizona

A specialty pharmacy focusing on rare and orphan drugs seeks two experienced Specialty Pharmacists for a 13-week contract role with potential for direct hire. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with hands-on experience in designated specialty pharmacies, particularly those familiar with managing complex patient needs involving high-cost medications.

Location: Glendale, AZ
Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours
Contract: 13 weeks, with start ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage dispensing and clinical activities involving rare and orphan drugs.
• Assist patients and providers in navigating approval processes for specialty medications.
• Support payment assistance programs, including grants, rebates, and other financial resources to reduce patient costs.
• Maintain high-touch communication with healthcare providers and patients, ensuring exceptional service and clinical support.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Experience working specifically in a specialty pharmacy setting is mandatory; retail pharmacy experience alone does not meet the requirements.
• Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients and providers.
• Familiarity with specialty drug approval challenges and patient assistance programs.
