This opportunity seeks experienced pharmacists for a long-term contract position within a major county health system, specializing in inpatient pharmacy services. Candidates will support high-quality pharmaceutical care at a hospital facility operating under rigorous standards in an ambulatory and inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients, ensuring proper medication management and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy plans.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures specific to the healthcare system, maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in competency assessments and complete onboarding successfully to begin work.
  • Maintain flexibility to cover various shifts—primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Preference for pharmacists with PGY1 residency completion.
  • Candidates with around two years of inpatient hospital experience may be considered.
  • Recent hospital pharmacy interns with relevant experience are eligible.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to pharmaceutical best practices.
  • Ability to pass a competency examination required for onboarding.
  • Successful completion of background checks including Livescan.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts.
  • Flexibility to work primarily day and evening shifts with occasional overnight shifts.

  • This is a long-term contract position with potential progression to permanent employment.
