Staff Pharmacist - Glenwood Springs, CO

A contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a 20-week assignment in Glenwood Springs, CO, starting mid-March. This role offers the chance to contribute expertise during a facility transition from Meditech to Epic EMR systems, ideal for pharmacists with strong Epic experience.

Schedule:

• Rotating day and evening shifts, 40 hours per week
• Start times at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Rotating weekends from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Core Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and dispensing medication orders accurately and safely
• Maintaining medication stock and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Monitoring drug therapy for interactions or contraindications
• Performing pharmacokinetic dosing and reviewing microbiology data for appropriate antibiotic use
• Providing clinical consultation and cost-effective medication alternatives
• Documenting clinical activities and participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Serving as a member of the Code Response Team and helping train staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy, BS Pharmacy degree required
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccination required for the applicable season
• Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory; Meditech exposure is a strong plus
