Staff Pharmacist in Grand Rapids, MI

A healthcare facility in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a skilled pharmacist to fill a part-time contract-to-hire position, beginning immediately. This role offers a mix of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends to accommodate pharmacy operating hours.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 8 PM
• Saturday, Sunday, and holidays: 10 AM – 6 PM
• Part-time with ongoing hours

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in long-term care pharmacy, including proficiency in PV1 and PV2 responsibilities. This position requires hands-on compounding and the verification of both sterile and non-sterile preparations such as IVs and TPNs. Previous exposure to the Frameworks system is highly preferred, though training will be provided if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-circle long-term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 tasks
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Perform multi-dose and blister pack medication preparation
• Prepare and verify sterile compound medications like IVs and TPNs
• Utilize the Frameworks system for pharmacy operations and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior long-term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Skilled in sterile and non-sterile compounding
• Experience with PV1/PV2 pharmacy duties including supervisory tasks
• Familiarity with Frameworks software preferred but not required
