Staff Pharmacist | Grand Rapids, Michigan

This opportunity offers a professional Staff Pharmacist role focused on long-term care pharmacy services. The position is a contract-to-hire with an immediate start and ongoing part-time schedule. Shifts include a mix of days and evenings, with rotating weekends to support pharmacy operating hours.

Pharmacy Hours of Operation:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key responsibilities include performing full-circle long-term care pharmacy duties such as:

• PV1 and PV2 tasks, including medication preparation, paperwork, and documentation
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Managing multi-dose and blister packing processes
• Preparing and checking sterile and non-sterile compounded medications such as IVs and TPNs

Candidates with prior hands-on experience in long-term care pharmacy, especially with PV1 and PV2 responsibilities, will be highly preferred. Additionally, the ability to compound and verify sterile and non-sterile medications is essential.

Experience with the Frameworks system is strongly desired; however, training is available for qualified pharmacists new to the platform.

Qualifications:

• Michigan pharmacist license in-hand and maintained in good standing
• Proven long-term care pharmacy experience, including PV1 and PV2 duties
• Competency in sterile and non-sterile compounding, including IV/TPN preparation
• Ability to supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians effectively
• Familiarity or willingness to learn the Frameworks system
