This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to contribute expertise in a closed-door mail order environment while providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. The position involves working the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm, with occasional Saturdays based on operational needs. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks with the potential to transition from temporary to direct hire status.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders while ensuring patient safety.
- Offer medication counseling, educating patients about proper usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and encourage medication adherence.
- Maintain precise patient records including medication histories and interventions.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Ensure proper medication storage, monitor for expired or damaged products.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exemplary customer service by resolving inquiries and promoting pharmacy offerings.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians on the 2nd shift, providing guidance and support.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain abreast of pharmacy practice advancements.
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
- Current Indiana Pharmacy License.
- California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate; assistance with licensure costs provided.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 5%.

Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm.
- Possible Saturdays as needed.
