Pharmacist - Greenfield, IN

This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to contribute expertise in a closed-door mail order environment while providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. The position involves working the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm, with occasional Saturdays based on operational needs. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks with the potential to transition from temporary to direct hire status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders while ensuring patient safety.
• Offer medication counseling, educating patients about proper usage, side effects, and interactions.
• Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and encourage medication adherence.
• Maintain precise patient records including medication histories and interventions.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Ensure proper medication storage, monitor for expired or damaged products.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
• Provide exemplary customer service by resolving inquiries and promoting pharmacy offerings.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians on the 2nd shift, providing guidance and support.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain abreast of pharmacy practice advancements.

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current Indiana Pharmacy License.
• California Pharmacy License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate; assistance with licensure costs provided.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 5%.

• Monday to Friday, 12:30pm – 9:00pm.
• Possible Saturdays as needed.
