A pharmacy professional is needed for a 13-week contract at a 60-bed community hospital situated in Barstow, CA, a desert city located roughly halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This role offers a consistent schedule, working four 10-hour day shifts per week, with minimal on-call duties supported by a Remote Service for after-hours order processing.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely within the hospital setting
• Utilize MedHost EMR and Sentri 7 Clinical Surveillance software for patient and medication management
• Manage medication inventory and operate Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure effective pharmaceutical care
• Respond to on-call situations as needed, with remote support available

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital environment is preferred
• Proficient with electronic medical records and clinical surveillance systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
