Staff Pharmacist in Helendale, CA

A 13-week pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a 60-bed community hospital located in Barstow, CA. Situated in the desert landscape midway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, this role offers an engaging work environment and a chance to contribute to a smaller hospital setting.

Schedule and Location:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Minimal on-call duties supported by a remote order processing service
• Based in Barstow, CA

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to support inpatient care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize hospital systems such as MedHost EMR, Sentri 7 Clinical Surveillance, and Pyxis ADCs for medication management
• Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current California pharmacist license required
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical surveillance software is a plus
