A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking a qualified Staff Pharmacist for a contract opportunity based in High Point, NC. This role offers a focused environment involving both sterile and non-sterile compounding, providing hands-on experience in advanced pharmacy practices. The position is scheduled for weekday day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with the possibility of direct hire afterward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations
- Manage both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes ensuring safety and quality standards
- Utilize and become proficient with the order entry system (PK), with training provided
- Maintain proper documentation and agreements as required for pharmacy operations
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient care and service
Desired Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina pharmacy license
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
- Experience with sterile compounding is highly desirable
- Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus
- Ability to adapt to specialty retail pharmacy workflows and standards
