An opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to support a specialty retail pharmacy focused on sterile and non-sterile compounding. This role spans a 13-week contract with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break, and offers potential for direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations including prescription processing and patient counseling.
- Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding to prepare customized medications according to prescriptions.
- Utilize PK pharmacy software for accurate order entry and dispensing, with training provided.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina pharmacy license.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience.
- Experience in sterile compounding strongly preferred.
- Experience in non-sterile compounding is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a specialty retail pharmacy setting.
