Staff Pharmacist - Hillsboro, WV

A hospital-owned retail pharmacy in Hillsboro, WV, is seeking an experienced pharmacist to provide comprehensive medication management and support daily operations during a 12-week medical leave coverage assignment starting September 8th. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, accurate, and effective pharmacy services for a busy community-focused location handling approximately 4,000 prescriptions monthly.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and fellow pharmacists to maintain smooth retail operations
• Verify and dispense medications with a high standard of safety and accuracy
• Manage inventory, medication stock, and formulary adherence
• Ensure compliance with controlled substance regulations and documentation
• Oversee 340B program administration and maintain related compliance
• Handle pharmacy billing, claims submission, and reconciliation processes
• Utilize Pioneer RX software for pharmacy operations; training provided as needed
• Support workflow improvements and contribute to quality initiatives
• Administer immunizations to patients

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted West Virginia pharmacist license
• Experience with Pioneer RX software is preferred
• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred but not required
• Current CPR certification and active immunization training
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities

Schedule:

• Approximately 20 hours per week, ideally Tuesday and Wednesday
• 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM shifts with a 30-minute lunch (10-hour shift)
