A hospital in Hobbs, NM, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical services at their 60-bed facility. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with hospital experience who is ready to make an immediate impact in a dynamic healthcare setting. The hospital utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems, supporting efficient medication management and patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- 7 days on, 7 days off
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Wednesday through Tuesday rotation
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with protocols
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to support patient care
- Manage proper use and distribution of pharmaceuticals within the hospital setting
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
Desired Experience:
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Current New Mexico pharmacy license or willingness to obtain a temporary license promptly
- Strong knowledge of hospital medication workflows and patient safety
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
