Inpatient Staff Pharmacist in Hollywood, FL

An opportunity is available for two inpatient pharmacists to support pediatric care at a hospital located in Hollywood, FL, positioned conveniently between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. This contract position offers a rate increase and a chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment focused on pediatric inpatient pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• One day shift: 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with rotating weekends (5 eight-hour shifts)
• One overnight shift: 11:00 PM to 7:15 AM, with rotating weekends (5 eight-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties with a focus on pediatric dosing
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure accurate medication management for pediatric patients
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and documentation
• Maintain compliance with all state and hospital pharmacy regulations

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Florida pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy required
• Highly preferred: experience in pediatric or NICU pharmacy settings to align with specialized duties
• Strong knowledge of pediatric medication dosing and protocols
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and overnights as scheduled
