Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Hollywood, Florida

This per diem opportunity offers an engaging role supporting a pharmacy serving the HIV/AIDS patient community. The position requires sensitivity, respect, and empathy toward this patient population, fostering trust between pharmacists and patients managing infectious diseases. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patient care and maintain clear communication with patients, providers, and the pharmacy team.

Schedule and Location:

• Coverage needed Thursday, 7/30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Operating hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; closed weekends.
• Multiple per diem coverage opportunities available in Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL, and an additional pharmacy in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense retail and specialty HIV/AIDS medications accurately and efficiently.
• Build trust with patients through respectful and non-judgmental interactions.
• Collaborate closely with providers and pharmacy staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing workflow needs.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability as a committed member of the pharmacy team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of retail or specialty experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications; detailed experience must be noted on resume.
• Proficient with QS1 pharmacy software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dedication to delivering compassionate care within a sensitive patient demographic.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
