A pharmacy located in Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage supporting a sensitive patient population. This opportunity also allows for per diem work at another pharmacy in the area, providing flexible schedule options in a reputable setting.

Schedule:

  • Thursdays, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (starting 7/30)
  • Operation hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (no weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications with a focus on the HIV/AIDS patient population, maintaining respect, empathy, and confidentiality
  • Build trust-based relationships with patients managing infectious diseases
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
  • Exhibit proactive pharmacy intuition, identifying and addressing operational needs without prompting
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support a cohesive work environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • 1-2 years of retail or specialty HIV/AIDS dispensing experience; explicit experience with HIV/AIDS medications is required and should be clearly noted on the resume
  • Proficiency with QS1 pharmacy software and demonstrated software savviness
  • Strong communication skills to support patients and providers alike
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and non-judgmental behavior toward the patient demographic
  • Commitment to punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset
