A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to support inpatient pharmacy services in El Centro, CA. Location:
- El Centro, CA (close to Holtville, CA)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday
- 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (four 10-hour shifts per week)
- Shared on-call responsibilities with the team
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide clinical pharmacy consultations
- Manage pharmacokinetics services, optimizing patient medication therapies
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Active California Pharmacist license
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings preferred
- Ability to handle demanding workloads and adapt quickly in emergent situations
- Ready to start immediately
Additional Information:
- Utilizes Cerner electronic health record system
- Contract engagement initially for 13 weeks with a potential to convert to permanent
- Emergent staffing need to fill three open positions
