Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Holyoke, CO

A retail pharmacy associated with a hospital is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage from August 24th through August 28th. This role will provide vital pharmacist oversight in a well-established pharmacy setting averaging approximately 500 prescriptions per week. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the pharmacy’s operations during this period, ensuring high standards of patient care and medication management are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and dispense medications
• Conduct final verification on prescriptions
• Provide thorough patient counseling
• Manage and oversee daily pharmacy operations independently
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active Colorado Pharmacist license
• Recent experience practicing as a pharmacist
• Comfortable working as the sole pharmacist onsite
• Open to new pharmacy graduates ready to take on hands-on responsibility

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• One-hour lunch break

Location:

• Haxtun, Colorado at a retail pharmacy linked to a hospital facility

Additional Details:

• Pharmacy support includes 2 full-time technicians and occasional PRN pharmacist assistance (rarely present)
• Onsite housing may be available subject to availability; alternatively, hotel accommodations can be arranged
