A pharmacy professional opportunity is available for a skilled staff pharmacist with a focus on long-term care. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to work part time with a flexible shift schedule that includes days, evenings, and rotating weekends. Immediate start is preferred.

Location: Located in Hudsonville, MI.

Schedule:

  • Mix of days and evenings
  • Rotating weekends
  • Pharmacy Operating Hours:
    • Mon-Fri: 9 AM – 8 PM
    • Sat/Sun and holidays: 10 AM – 6 PM

Qualifications:

  • Michigan pharmacist license in-hand and in good standing
  • Preferred experience in long-term care pharmacy, especially performing both Pharmacist Verification Level 1 (PV1) and Level 2 (PV2) duties
  • Skilled in hands-on compounding and checking/verifying sterile and non-sterile medications, including IVs and TPNs
  • Prior experience supervising pharmacy technicians and managing multi-dose/blister packing preferred
  • Familiarity with Frameworks pharmacy system is highly preferred; training available for the right candidate

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-circle long-term care pharmacy duties, incorporating PV1 and PV2 responsibilities
  • Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and verify compounded sterile and non-sterile medications such as IVs and TPNs
  • Handle multi-dose and blister-pack medication distribution and verification processes
