Staff Pharmacist | Hudsonville, Michigan

This position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist with strong long-term care expertise seeking a part-time role with a flexible schedule. The role involves comprehensive pharmacy responsibilities tailored to long-term care settings, including compounding and medication verification.

Location: Hudsonville, MI
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule:

• Part-time, ongoing
• Rotating shifts including days and evenings
• Rotating weekends
  Pharmacy Operating Hours:
• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 8 PM
• Saturday, Sunday, and holidays: 10 AM – 6 PM

Responsibilities:

• Conduct full spectrum long-term care pharmacy duties, including PV1 and PV2 activities
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Perform hands-on sterile and non-sterile compounding, including IV and TPN preparations
• Verify and check accuracy of compounded medications and prescriptions
• Involve in multi-dose and blister packaging processes
• Utilize pharmacy systems (experience with Frameworks preferred; training available if needed)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior long-term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Proficient in PV1 and PV2 pharmacy service duties
• Skilled in sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques, especially IV and TPN preparations
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and managing pharmacy workflows
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, especially Frameworks, is a plus
