This opportunity offers a unique role for an experienced pharmacist to engage in comprehensive long-term care pharmacy services. The position involves a mix of hands-on responsibilities and leadership duties within a dynamic pharmacy setting operating Monday through Sunday, including holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full circle long-term care pharmacy functions including PV1 and PV2 duties
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare and verify sterile and non-sterile compounded medications such as IVs and TPNs
- Manage multi-dose and blister packing processes
- Utilize the Frameworks system to support pharmacy operations (training available if needed)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong preference for candidates with prior long-term care pharmacy experience, including PV1 and PV2 roles
- Skilled in compounding and verification of sterile and non-sterile medications
- Experience with or willingness to learn the Frameworks pharmacy system
Schedule:
- Part-time, on-going engagement
- Shift rotations include days and evenings, with weekends on a rotating basis
- Pharmacy operating hours: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends and holidays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
