A skilled Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available at a community health clinic setting, operating within an FQHC framework. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling and takes place in a supportive retail pharmacy environment utilizing the PioneerRx system.
The pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, including supervision of pharmacy technicians, interns, and students. Key duties include verifying and dispensing prescriptions for medications and durable medical equipment, providing patient and staff education, and maintaining compliance with patient assistance programs. The role requires active management of 340B/ADAP program integrity, regulatory adherence, and secure storage of medications. Additionally, the pharmacist will maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system, manage telephone encounters, and ensure smooth workflow using POS and inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct drug utilization reviews (DURs), counsel patients, and supervise safe medication dispensing.
- Ensure program compliance and manage medication storage for 340B/ADAP programs.
- Oversee pharmacy POS systems, inventory control, and prescription record management.
- Document clinical activities in EHR, handle telephone requests, and apply standing orders effectively.
- Train and support pharmacy staff, identify workflow improvements, and assist with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or related field.
- Active Montana pharmacist license.
- Experience in retail pharmacy settings.
- Preferred: prior experience in FQHC clinics and familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy systems.
Schedule:
- Per diem, with clinic hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday (10-hour shifts).
