Mail Order Staff Pharmacist | Independence, Kentucky

This direct hire opportunity is for pharmacists skilled in mail order and retail pharmacy settings, supporting a fast-growing digital/mail order pharmacy dispensing primarily generic, some brand, and specialty non-insurance medications. The pharmacy serves all 50 states plus DC, processing over 200,000 prescriptions monthly, and is expanding rapidly with plans for new accounts in 2026.

Location: Independence, KY

Schedule/Hours:

• Weekend shifts: Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Sunday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekday shifts as needed (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Complete full cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment duties, including medication verification and accuracy checks
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
• Adapt quickly to high-volume, fast-paced operations while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
• Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to meet demanding volume and service expectations

Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with a valid Kentucky license (pharmacists licensed in Cincinnati, OH, are encouraged to confirm KY licensure)
• Experience in high-volume retail pharmacy environments is highly preferred
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative workplace
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
