A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist position in Independence, MO. This contract role offers an immediate start and extends for at least 13 weeks, providing a steady night shift schedule with a consistent work-life balance.
Schedule:
- 7 nights on, 7 nights off
- Night shift hours: approximately 9:00 pm to 7:00 am
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians during night shifts
- Provide pharmacokinetic services and medication monitoring
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for daily operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Missouri pharmacist license is required
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently overnight
- Proficiency with Meditech and Pyxis is a plus
