Staff Pharmacist in Independence, MO

A pharmacy opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to work a night shift in Independence, MO. This contract position offers a start as soon as possible and is scheduled for 13 weeks or longer.

Schedule: • Night shift, 7 days on/7 days off • Hours approximately 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM • One pharmacist per shift, supported by two pharmacy technicians

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, managing pharmacokinetics, and consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care. Experience with Meditech and Pyxis systems will be valuable in this role.

Qualifications: • Active Missouri pharmacist license • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
