Per Diem Pharmacist in Iowa Park, TX

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support a closed-door pharmacy linked to a behavioral hospital in Iowa Park, TX. This PRN, per diem role focuses on covering vacation and PTO hours, providing flexibility for professionals who prefer to work on an as-needed basis. The work environment sees a manageable script count averaging 300-400 prescriptions daily, with minimal walk-in traffic, allowing for focused and efficient pharmaceutical care.

Schedule and Setting:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Closed door pharmacy attached to a behavioral hospital

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and verify prescription information
• Provide patient medication counseling when needed
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Utilize Enterprise RX software (training will be provided)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active pharmacist license and recent pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with PRN or part-time positions preferred
• Willingness to train on Enterprise RX software
• Local to the Iowa Park, TX area to facilitate on-call availability and coverage flexibility
