Staff Pharmacist | Irwin, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for a part-time staff pharmacist position within a retail pharmacy setting located near Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves providing professional pharmaceutical services to support daily operations and ensure optimal patient care.

Location: Retail pharmacy near Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule/Hours:

• 20-24 hours per week plus vacation coverage
• Pharmacy open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Shifts available from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm or 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Peak workload times are 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions averaging approximately 300 per day
• Counsel patients on proper medication use and possible side effects
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies
• Utilize Pioneer Rx pharmacy system for managing prescriptions and workflow
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to maintain efficient operations during peak periods

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Previous retail pharmacy experience required
• Proficiency with Pioneer Rx system is a strong plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload during high-volume periods effectively
