Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Bronx, NY

A pharmacy role is available for a knowledgeable and dedicated pharmacist with IV certification and home infusion experience. This position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in a supportive environment focused on patient care and medication management.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Type:

• 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance

Responsibilities:

• Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns
• Ensure medication supply and prescriptions comply with legal standards
• Maintain confidential and precise patient and pharmacy records
• Provide patient consultations on medication usage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Offer additional patient services, including smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compound and prepare sterile medications following established procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventories
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Current valid New York State pharmacy license
• Prior experience with intravenous (IV) medication preparation and administration
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
