Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Brooklyn, NY

A well-established pharmacy provider in New York is seeking two experienced pharmacists for a 13-week contract with potential for contract to hire. This role involves delivering high-quality medication management and patient care in a home infusion setting.

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal standards
• Monitor patient medication usage, ensuring proper adherence and identifying potential overuse
• Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy files meticulously
• Advise patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and answer questions
• Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription drugs, including dosage and drug interactions
• Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in accordance with established procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks
• Maintain adequate pharmaceutical and medical inventory
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address drug-related problems

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
• Active New York pharmacy license in-hand
• Prior experience with IV preparation and infusion required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams
