An infusion pharmacy in Tulsa, OK is seeking a knowledgeable Pharmacist with IV certification for a contract-to-hire position. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in home infusion pharmacy within a supportive, patient-focused environment.

Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Type: Contract to hire
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and monitor patient compliance and usage patterns
  • Ensure all medication supply and dispensing comply with state laws and regulations
  • Maintain confidential, accurate patient records and pharmacy files
  • Provide patient counseling on medication administration, potential reactions, and answer related questions
  • Educate patients on the use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound sterile medications and prepare infused solutions according to strict protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues
  • Support patient services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
  • Valid Oklahoma pharmacist license in hand
  • IV certification and experience compounding infused drugs
  • Proven track record evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Active participation or membership in professional pharmacy societies or organizations is desirable
