Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Clifton, NJ

A contract opportunity is available starting Monday, 11/2, for a Home Infusion Pharmacist role specializing in sterile IV compounding and supervision. This position will run for approximately 13 weeks with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance and fit. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, offering either an 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. shift, totaling 7.5 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on sterile compounding of IV medications, primarily focusing on pain management therapies
• Supervise pharmacy technicians working in the clean room environment
• Verify and check compounded sterile preparations to ensure accuracy and safety
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and sterile compounding procedures
• Utilize the CareTend system for documentation and workflow management

Qualifications:

• Hold a current New Jersey pharmacist license
• At least 1-2 years of solid experience in IV sterile compounding, preferably in a home infusion setting; strong inpatient IV experience will also be considered
• IV certification required
• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance related to sterile compounding
• Demonstrate reliability, proactive communication, and strong teamwork skills
