A Long Term Care pharmacy in Columbus, OH is seeking both an IV Lead Pharmacist and an IV Staff Pharmacist to support their growing operations. This pharmacy operates as a closed-door facility specializing in providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services to long-term care clients.
Location:
- Columbus, OH
Schedule/Hours:
- IV Lead Pharmacist: 1st shift, flexible Monday through Friday, either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- IV Staff Pharmacist: 2nd shift, flexible Monday through Friday, either 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Must hold an active Ohio pharmacist license
- Certification in IV pharmacy required
- Prior experience in Long Term Care pharmacy preferred
- Familiarity with handling Controlled Drugs (Narcotics)
- Strong clinical knowledge for medication review and therapy adjustment recommendations
Responsibilities:
- Review medication orders to ensure correct drug choice, dosage, interactions, and administration
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to recommend therapy changes where appropriate
- Manage patient medication records including clinical and laboratory data
- Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries
- Oversee medication preparation and maintain proper security protocols
- Maintain controlled substances register for compliance and stock control
- Provide on-call support as needed
- Utilize Frameworks pharmacy system
