A pharmacy role is available for an experienced IV/Infusion pharmacist to contribute to patient care in a clinical setting. This 17-week contract to hire opportunity offers a flexible Monday through Friday schedule with varying day shifts and weekend on-call rotation. Candidates must have a North Carolina pharmacy license in hand and a strong background in sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately accept, dispense, and compound prescription medications, including sterile solutions, while adhering to legal and safety standards.
- Monitor patient medication usage and compliance, offering guidance on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files with precision.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks, ensuring competency in sterile compounding, cleaning, garbing, and testing.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards in sterile compounding areas.
- Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory efficiently.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Must hold an active North Carolina pharmacist license.
- Previous IV/Infusion pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile compounding procedures and regulations.
- Strong communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration.
