Staff Pharmacist | Houston, Texas

A home infusion pharmacy with multiple nationwide locations is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to join their Houston, TX site on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to specialize in managing complex, specialty, and infusion therapies while working onsite in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 specialized clinical support for patients managing specialty infusion therapies.
• Compound and dispense complex medications, ensuring accuracy and safety in infusion preparation.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to facilitate timely medication delivery and administration.
• Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and self-administration techniques tailored to home infusion settings.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, ensuring accurate patient records and a secure pharmacy environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Texas.
• ACPE Sterile Compounding certification is required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in infusion pharmacy practice.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge of specialty and infusion therapies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
