Staff Pharmacist IV Certified - Houston, TX

A home infusion pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist with IV certification to join their Houston, TX location on a contract-to-hire basis. This role requires a pharmacist who specializes in managing complex, specialty, and infusion therapies and thrives in a patient-focused environment. You will provide clinical support, dispense and compound specialized medications, and coordinate patient care alongside healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24/7 specialized clinical support for patients receiving infusion therapies.
• Compound and dispense complex medications, ensuring accuracy and safety in preparation.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and insurers to facilitate the timely delivery and administration of medications.
• Educate patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and self-administration techniques specific to home infusion therapies.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, maintaining accurate records and a secure working environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Texas.
• ACPE Sterile Compounding certification is required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in infusion pharmacy, preferably with home infusion focus.
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
