Staff Pharmacist IV Certified - Katy, TX

A home infusion pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join their Houston, TX location on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to specialize in managing complex and specialty infusion therapies, directly impacting patient care in a clinical setting that demands precision and expertise.

Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Contract to Hire, starting ASAP for a 13-week contract period

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide around-the-clock specialized clinical support for patients receiving infusion therapies
• Review, compound, dispense, and oversee preparation of complex medications in an infusion setting
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to ensure seamless medication delivery and administration
• Educate patients on medication schedules, side effects, and safe self-administration techniques specific to home infusion
• Maintain compliance with all pertinent state and federal pharmacy regulations, ensuring patient safety and accurate record-keeping

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license
• ACPE/Sterile Compounding certificate required
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in infusion pharmacy practice
• Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy system is highly preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of specialty and infusion therapies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
