A home infusion pharmacy in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity to support patient care within a fast-paced, specialized environment. This role requires expertise in compounding infused drugs and managing medications for home care patients to ensure safe, effective therapy throughout the infusion process.

- Tulsa, OK (Mustang area)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns to prevent misuse or overuse.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Advise patients on correct medication usage, possible side effects, and answer medication-related questions.
- Provide patient education on medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following proper protocols.
- Prepare sterile solutions adhering to safety standards.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians and nurses to manage drug therapies and resolve medication-related issues.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and engage with pharmacy organizations.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Oklahoma is required.
- IV certification and experience in home infusion pharmacy strongly preferred.
- Proven experience evaluating and monitoring drug therapies, particularly for home care patients.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Membership or participation in professional societies is a plus.
