Home Staff Pharmacist IV Certified - New Hyde Park, NY

A healthcare facility in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking two experienced Pharmacists for a 13-week contract position with the possibility of contract-to-hire based on performance. This opportunity requires IV certification and prior experience in home infusion pharmacy, combining clinical expertise with hands-on patient care.

Working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, you will play a critical role in managing prescription medications, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and providing direct consultation and education to patients. Your responsibilities will include dispensing prescriptions, monitoring medication use, advising patients on medication administration and side effects, and supporting patient services such as smoking cessation and chronic disease management. Additionally, you will compound and prepare sterile solutions, supervise pharmacy staff, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key qualifications and desired experience include:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Active New York State pharmacy license
• IV certification with demonstrated home infusion pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and medication safety
• Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare teams and patients
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians or clerks preferred
