Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist | New Hyde Park, New York

A healthcare facility in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking two Pharmacists to support their home infusion and pharmacy operations. This 13-week contract opportunity offers a potential path to contract to hire based on performance and is ideal for licensed professionals with IV certification and experience.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
• Monitor patient medication adherence and overuse, while managing confidential patient records.
• Provide expert consultation regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Educate patients on handling medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
• Compound and prepare sterile solutions for internal and external use following protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to maintain efficient operations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active New York State pharmacy license.
• IV pharmacy certification with prior home infusion experience required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with healthcare professionals.
