Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Newark, NJ

A contract opportunity is available for a Home Infusion Pharmacist to begin on Monday, 11/2, with a 13-week duration and potential to convert to permanent employment based on performance. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care in a home infusion setting, emphasizing sterile compounding of IV medications.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (7.5-hour shifts)

Responsibilities include hands-on sterile compounding of intravenous pain medications, supervision of pharmacy technicians within the clean room environment, and verification of prescriptions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The pharmacist will also actively maintain adherence to strict sterile compounding protocols and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• A current New Jersey Pharmacist license
• Strong sterile compounding skills with at least 1-2 years of experience, preferably with prior home infusion pharmacy practice; candidates with robust inpatient IV compounding backgrounds are also considered
• Proficiency with CareTend pharmacy systems
• Commitment to reliability, strong teamwork, and a proactive approach to work
• In-depth knowledge of sterile compounding compliance and regulatory guidelines
