Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist IV Certified in Paterson, NJ

A pharmacy professional with specialized skills in sterile compounding is needed for a contract opportunity starting November 2nd in Paterson, NJ. This role is focused on home infusion services, with an emphasis on IV preparation and medication supervision. The contract will last 13 weeks with potential for conversion to permanent based on performance and fit.

Responsibilities include hands-on sterile compounding of intravenous medications—primarily pain management therapies—in a clean room environment. You will supervise pharmacy technicians, ensure strict compliance with sterile compounding standards, verify prescriptions, and uphold regulatory requirements. Familiarity with CareTend pharmacy systems is essential.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7.5-hour shifts, either 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of solid IV/sterile compounding experience
• Prior home infusion pharmacy experience preferred, though strong inpatient IV compounding background will be considered
• Valid New Jersey pharmacist license in hand
• IV certification required
• Proactive with strong knowledge of sterile compounding compliance and regulatory standards
• Reliable and collaborative team player
