Staff Pharmacist IV Certified - Raleigh, NC

A healthcare facility in Raleigh, NC is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist with IV/Infusion certification for a 17-week contract with potential to convert to a permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists ready to quickly step into a vital position supporting infusion services.

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible Monday to Friday shifts: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Weekend on-call rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications while ensuring legal compliance
• Monitor patient medication adherence and detect over-usage patterns
• Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files with accuracy
• Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions
• Compound sterile solutions and medications for internal or external use following proper procedures
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to maintain high-quality operations
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies effectively
• Identify and communicate drug-related issues with healthcare providers
• Oversee and ensure cleanliness and sterility of compounding areas
• Ensure pharmacist and technician competency in sterile compounding per USP 797 and USP 800 standards

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and valid North Carolina pharmacist license is mandatory
• Prior IV/Infusion pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise and collaborate with staff
