Staff Pharmacist IV Certified - Spring, TX

A specialized opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with IV certification to support advanced infusion therapies in a home infusion pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire position requires a licensed Texas pharmacist with infusion experience, ideally using CareTend systems, and is located in Spring, TX (working onsite in the Houston area).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized clinical support for complex infusion and specialty therapies, including 24/7 availability for patient needs.
• Compound, dispense, and oversee preparation of complex medications tailored for infusion treatments.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers to coordinate medication delivery and ensure effective therapy administration.
• Educate patients on medication regimens, side effects, and self-administration techniques to promote adherence and safety.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, uphold accurate documentation, and ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license.
• At least 1-2 years of infusion pharmacy experience.
• ACPE Sterile Compounding certification is required.
• Experience with CareTend pharmacy management software strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge in managing specialty and infusion therapies.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Contract Details:

• Immediate start with a 13-week contract period followed by potential hire.
