Location: New Hyde Park, NY
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately.
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns.
- Ensure medication supplies comply with legal regulations.
- Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Provide patient consultations on prescription and non-prescription drugs.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound and prepare sterile medication solutions using established procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy staff such as technicians and clerks.
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to address drug-related patient issues.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Current NY State Pharmacy license in hand.
- Prior experience with intravenous (IV) pharmacy services is essential.
- Home infusion pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and manage workflow efficiently.
