A reputable healthcare provider in Staten Island, NY is seeking two skilled pharmacists for a 13-week contract role with potential to transition into permanent positions based on performance. This opportunity is ideal for licensed pharmacists with IV certification and home infusion experience ready to contribute immediately.

Location: Staten Island, NY
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and usage to ensure safe practices
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records
  • Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
  • Educate patients about proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory to ensure compliance with legal standards
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Active New York state pharmacist license
  • Prior IV and home infusion pharmacy experience required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
