A well-established infusion pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in a professional environment where your expertise in home infusion and compounding will directly impact patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately in compliance with legal standards.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence, compliance, and identify potential over-usage.
  • Maintain confidential and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Advise patients on proper medication usage, potential reactions, and answer medication-related questions.
  • Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications including dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.
  • Educate patients on medical device use such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Prepare sterile compounded medications following established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related problems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Valid Oklahoma pharmacist license.
  • IV certification and experience in compounding infused drugs.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and monitor drug therapies for patients in home care settings.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Involvement in professional pharmacy societies or organizations is desirable.
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Position is based in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area with a contract to hire opportunity.
