Location: Newark, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Saturday
• Day shift (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Saturday-only candidates encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions while ensuring patient safety
• Provide thorough medication counseling and education to patients
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Manage prescription processing and resolve insurance and medication access challenges
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations
• Support pharmacy workflow, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care programs
• Foster a positive, patient-centered pharmacy experience within the community

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New Jersey Pharmacist License required
• 1-2+ years of experience in community, retail, ambulatory care, or outpatient pharmacy settings
• Preferred experience in community health, 340B programs, or serving underserved populations
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills strongly preferred
• Familiarity with PrimeRx, MicroMerchant, or comparable pharmacy systems a plus
• Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a patient care focus
