An immediate opening is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a reputable medical center. This is a 13-week contract starting March 23, featuring a dynamic schedule that includes a mix of day and evening shifts, as well as rotating weekends.

Location:

  • Joliet, IL

Schedule:

  • 3 days on / 3 days off rotation
  • Mix of days and evenings
  • Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication verification and checking
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Check IV preparations, following institutional protocols
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and verification

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
  • Valid Illinois Pharmacist license
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • References demonstrating inpatient pharmacy competence
